Completed Pre-Seed Round & Updated Board

We are absolutely over the moon to say despite our failed SeedRs fundraise, we have closed our pre-seed round having raised over £215,000 from 9 investors.

Paul Huntingdon Paul Huntingdon the founder of Serocor & ARM, investor in Zivio & Incognito amongst many others joins us as an investor and board advisor. Paul started his career at IBM before founding ARM in 1996; a business he exited his position in in 2013 and going on to found the Serocor group of brands with over 200 employees and £100m + turnover.

John Reynolds John Reynolds also joins the board as an investor and strategic advisor. John forged his career in the city as an Economist and Investment Strategist in the mid-to-late 1980’s and 90’s, quickly rising to prominence as a top-rated analyst (Extel) and Global Head of Research, with NatWest Markets and then ING Barings. The 2000’s saw John take responsibility for driving business with asset managers at Deutsche Bank and then ABN AMRO, before taking on the role of Chief Investment Officer, with responsibility for over £23 billion in assets, for Capita Financial Group, one of the largest asset management firms in the UK. They join Adrian Buttress a local entrepreneur from Nottingham who is the head of £25m turnover PermaGroup & experienced CFO Chris Booth along with founders Bradley Gough, Ollie Pod & Samantha Famulare complete the structure of the board. All who know Groubook know just how hard we have fought since we were conceived back in 2019, battling throughout the pandemic to launch & grow our platform. I am extremely thankful to the 9 investors that put their trust into us. I am also extremely grateful to the team at Groubook who continue to develop the business on a day-to-day basis. We are still at the beginning of our journey and look forward to continuously developing our offering.
