Sitting at the heart of the Engine Yard, surrounded by a variety of other unique outlets, The Fuel Tank spans the ground floor of the impressively refurbished historic site. It once existed as the original water pumping station for the Castle, yet has since been transformed into an aesthetically pleasing cafe extending outdoors to a large covered seating area.

You can also upgrade your visit to include a tour around Belvoir's luxury state rooms and soak up the rich history of this extravagant castle. Why not finish the day off with some retail therapy in Engine Yard shopping village, boasting the best of homeware, artisan foods and gifts.

Afternoon Jazz at Peggy's Skylight

Head down to Peggy's Skylight in the heart of Nottingham's Creative Quarter for some afternoon jazz with the Pat McCarthy Quartet featuring Shannon Reilly.

Pat himself has an instantly recognisable sound, making him a highly sought after jazz guitarist. Shannon is an amazing soprano whose mesmerising performances have captivated audiences all across the UK.

To compliment the live jazz performance, enjoy some Middle Eastern inspired tapas dishes, with the smaller size portions allowing you to try as many or as little as you like!

Afternoon Tea at Colwick Hall

You can never go wrong with a traditional Afternoon Tea in our eyes. Boasting a great range of mouth-watering finger sandwiches, unique chef's savouries, and, of course, an assortment of desserts; Colwick Hall is the ideal location for some quality time with you mum!

Scones are freshly made and served with the classic combination of jam and clotted cream. Guests may unwind in the charming stately surroundings of Byron's Brasserie between 12 and 3pm, then venture down to the lake to finish off the afternoon.
